St. Patrick's Day St. Paul 2015

Here at Pioneer Endicott, we love being right in the heart of Lowertown during St. Patrick's day. From March 14th - March 17th, downtown St. Paul explodes to life with thousands of visitors celebrating their Irish heritage, wearing crazy green gear and drinking and eating delicious Irish fare. There are plenty of events for all ages, and we plan on bringing our pets to some of them too :). Here's your guide to St. Patrick's Day in St. Paul 2015!

Pre- St. Patrick's Day Shenanigans
Irish Heritage at the Hill House
What: Theme tours of the James J. Hill house that include Irish songs, organ music, and needlework demonstrations. Stories of the Hills and their servants (many of them Irish) will be told throughout the tours.
When: Saturday, March 14th 10am - 3:30pm. Sunday, March 15th 1pm - 3:30pm.

Ready ... Set... Irish!
What: One of Minnesota's longest-running traditional Irish bands, Barra, perform an afternoon concert.

Get Lucky Half-Marathon
What: Run a 7k or half marathon in green gear with Irish pride! Afterwards, enjoy a post-race Irish party. Get a free can of beer & slice of pizza at the Union Depot and jam with Irish dancers and DJs. Then head to The Liffey for a free glass of Finnegans.

Lucky Palooza
What: A huge street party celebrating St. Patrick's Day! Shutting down West 7th Street from Kellogg Ave to Walnut Street, Lucky Palooza includes mini Irish celebrations at your favorite St. Paul restaurants including Eagle Street Grille, The Liffey, Tom Reid's, Burger Moe's, Zamboni's Pizza, and the Downtowner Woodfire Grill. Burger Moe's, Cossetta's, and McGovern's will each have large outdoor tents as well. The best part is that the Open Container Ban is lifted for the day, allowing you to walk from bar to bar with a drink in hand! For the first time this year, Redbull action sport Athlete Aaron Colton will perform a special stunt bike show.

An Irish Day of Dance
What: Exactly how it sounds - an Irish day of dancing! Various Irish Dance groups will perform all day long at the Landmark Center. Seminars, music, and vendors will also be on site.
When: Sunday, March 15th, 11am - 5pm

March 17th, St. Patrick's Day
The 49th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade is a MUST SEE! The parade is one of the longest standing and most decorated St. Patrick's Day celebrations in the nation! Thousands of people gather to watch every year, so get there early to score a good spot. Begins at noon. Rice Park, Landmark Plaza, and sunny spots along 5th Street are great places to watch.

Post-Parade Party
What: Enjoy green beer, live music, and apps after the St. Paul St. Patrick's Day Parade!

IMDA's St. Patrick's Day Irish Celebration
What: The 34th Annual St. patrick's Day Celebration includes traditional Irish music, dance, children's activities and entertainment, seminars, and a Celtic marketplace.
When: 10am - 5pm

Cherish The Ladies
What: An Irish ensemble combining music and step dancing for an Irish celebration.

Rival House: St. Patrick's Day specials beginning at 11am, including special homemade Irish fare and a Limited Release Irish Stout.

Mancini's Char House: The Blarney Stones 1pm - 5pm. Steve Miller 7pm - 11pm.

Patrick McGovern's: Corned beef & cabbage while it lasts! The Minnesota Police Pipe Band will play around 1pm. The Big Tent will open at noon, with DJ Stigg playing at 3pm. *Debit and credit cards will not be accepted on St. Patrick's Day.

The Liffey Irish Pub: Doors open at 7am, drinks served beginning at 8am. Breakfast served until 10am, and a special St. Patrick's Day menu will be available from 11am - midnight. The Brian Boru Irish Pipe Band will make an appearance around 1:30pm.

Great Waters Brewery: Food & drink specials. Opening at 10am.

Wild Tymes: Live music by The SERFs and The Wibesmen beginning at 11am.

Pazzaluna: The bar & patio will open at 10:30am, a perfect viewing spot for the Parade! Traditional Irish fare will be served as well as $5 apps.

St. Paul Grill: In addition to serving food and beverages at the bar, the St. Paul Grill will also have a stand at the corner of 5th Street and Market starting at 10:30 am, serving Irish fare and drinks. The bar will be open all day.This is another great location for watching the Parade.

Public Kitchen & Bar: Opening at 9am and serving Irish Coffee with house made Guinness Cream and Bloody Marys. Other drink specials will be available, and Irish fare will be served all day.

O'Gara's Bar & Grill: Bar opens at 11am. The Whiskeys perform from 4pm - 8pm in the Dining Room, The Todd Douglas Band in the Shamrock Room from 9pm - 1am, and live music in the tent outside.
