New Year's Eve Celebrations 2015 - Downtown St. Paul

The inspiration for this (awesome) blog post comes from the residents at Pioneer Endicott. Ranging in age from newborns to retirees, residents of our building have different preferences for celebrating and going out. That's why we've included a wide range of New Year's Eve events in downtown St. Paul in this post. From family-friendly and ending by 8pm, to 21+ and lasting all night, everyone is sure to find a perfect NYE option for ringing in 2015!


A Room With a Vieux

What: Just Announced!! The Former Artists' Quarter space in St. Paul will reopen December 31st as Vieux CarrĂ© for a New Year's Eve Party! A New Orleans-flavored jazz ensemble, the Southside Aces, will perform. Louisiana-style muffuletta sandwiches will be served.
Where: Vieux CarrĂ©. 408 St. Peter Street, St. Paul, MN
When: December 31st. 9:00pm
Cost: $12

Noon New Year's Party
What: Family-friendly entertainment to ring in the New Year. Make noise-makers, participate in a scavenger hunt, dance and listen to music from the DJs of the Twin Cities Road Crew, win $100 for college, and more! Plus, a countdown to NOON when hundreds of beach balls will be dropped from the ceiling.
Where: Como Zoo Visitor Center. St. Paul, MN
When: December 31st & January 1st. 10:00am - 1:00pm
Cost: FREE


Sparkle-Rama
What: A fun event for the youngsters!  There will be live music from Will Hale and the Tadpole Parade, arts & crafts, inflated guitars, and a magical ball drop at 8:00pm.
Where: Minnesota Children's Museum. St. Paul, MN
When: December 31st. 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Cost: $10 per member and $14 per non-member. Includes snack and admission to museum.

Open Season - A New Year's Eve Party
What: An early NYE celebration at the Black Dog in Lowertown. Featuring musical acts Todd Harper, Davu Seru, Nathan Hanson, and Nick Gaudette.
Where: Black Dog Coffee and Wine Bar. St. Paul, MN
When: December 31st. 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Cost: FREE


What: Acclaimed jazz artist Pippi Armenia and special guests Patty Lacy and Judi Gronseth perform selections from the Great American Songbook, Motown, and more!
Where: Landmark Center. St. Paul, MN
When: December 31st. 7:30pm


What: JoAnne Funk and Jeff Brueske give 'A Tribute to Frank Sinatra,' along with special guests Nathan Norman and Steven Marking.
Where: The Lobby Bar at The Saint Paul Hotel. St. Paul, MN
When: December 31st. 8:00pm - Midnight
Cost: Free. Food and drink available for purchase.


What: Half party, half show, half olympics (wait, that's 1 and a half?), this two-night event has a little bit of everything. Comedy, games, immersive interactions, drinking, dancing, clowns, and puppetry.
Where: Bedlam Lowertown. St. Paul, MN
When: December 30th & 31st. 8:00pm - 10:00pm
Cost: $16




What: This 80s & 90s themed show is made up of 4 showcases that run all evening. The showcases feature dance music, comedy, and 'hilariously sexy burlesque acts.' If you're up for it, you can participate in 'ridiculous burlesque inspired contests' and win prizes! Free aviator glasses at the door for the first 50 guests.
Where: Amsterdam Bar and Hall. St. Paul, MN
When: December 31st. Doors at 9:00pm, show at 10:00pm
Cost: $12 advance tickets. $15 at the door.  $60 for a table of 2. $120 for a table of 4.

Annual New Year's Eve Bash
What: A dance party with a live DJ and a complimentary champagne toast at Midnight.
Where: Patrick McGovern's Pub. St. Paul, MN
When: December 31st. 9:00pm
Cost: FREE



Dinner:
Meritage. Includes party favors and complimentary toast at Midnight. Call to reserve.
Pazzaluna. Live music, complimentary champagne toast, a balloon drop, and gifts.
Heartland Restaurant. Spins and riffs on vintage recipes, focusing on local ingredients. The market  closes the following day for renovations.
Wild Tymes and the Palace Stage. A steak and lobster dinner special with live music from The New Skinny.
Faces Mears Park. Featuring a special New Year's Eve menu.
