Libraries are constantly busy with free events, classes, and readings. The George Latimer Central Library in downtown St. Paul has puppet shows, Saturday performances, book clubs, story time, adult classes, special events, and tons more!

All of the tours listed above, plus a few more, are offered on a regular basis for free. Including, but not limited to: Union Depot tours, Landmark Center tours, State Capitol tours, Summit Avenue Walking tours, James J. Hill House tours, Cathedral of St. Paul tours, and Summit Brewery tours.

The Union Depot offers free Game Nights every Wednesday from 4:00pm - 8:00pm, and free yoga classes every Tuesday at noon, and Saturday at 9:00am.

Find free live music throughout the year at : The Saint Paul Hotel, Black Dog Coffee and Wine Bar, and Amsterdam Bar & Hall.

Once a month, the Saint Paul Ballet gives a free performance at the Landmark Center. Also once a month, artists in Lowertown open their studios for Lowertown First Fridays.

Of course, there are numerous festivals in Lowertown and Downtown St. Paul, but many are in the warmer months. There's still no harm in marking your calendar a bit earlier for these fun free events: Music in Mears, St. Paul Music in the Park, Nine Nights of Music, Concrete and Grass Music Festival, and the Twin Cities Jazz Festival.

New, free events are always popping up, and we try to keep you posted on our Facebook and Twitter pages, so follow us!
