Neighborhood Coffee Shops

Here are a few of our favorite local coffee shops -

Fresh Grounds, located on West 7th Street, serves coffee with a mission.

Visit their website to discover how they are transforming lives and building stronger communities.

In the mean time, here are a few local classics to try -

The St.Paul - A Tortilla with eggs, black beans, cheese, salsa, and sour cream
Fresh Grounds -  A swiss & cheddar grilled cheese

Amore Coffee is an independently owned local coffee shop.

They offer an extensive menu for the coffee lover, but they are famous for their hot chocolate, mochas, and chai infusions.
But if you’re more of a tea person, Amore also has you covered. They offer local leaves in a variety of green, black, and herbal. They also have iced tea year round – even during the Minnesota winter!

The Black Dog Coffee and Wine Bar, a favorite amongst Lowertown locals, features wine, craft beers, locally roasted coffee and organic food items.

They also offer a Daily Happy Hour 7 days a week from 4pm – 7pm!

Stop by Claddagh Coffee for a local shop with Irish flair.

Their unique menu items are a real treat -

Shot in the Dark - An espresso shot poured into brewed coffee
Brie and Apple Plate - Apples and brie are paired delightfully
with a fig spread and raspberry preserve. A mix
of savory crackers and flat bread finish off this plate.

Lowertown Daily Perk, located the skyway system, is a St. Paul staple.

Heidi, the owner and barista, has built a friendly neighborhood gathering spot in the middle of downtown. According to their website - “Every morning when you stop in for your daily caffeine and sugar fix; Heidi is there to greet you with a smile and friendly conversation.”
