We have compiled a list of activities for anyone and everyone to enjoy a summer afternoon in Lowertown!
St. Paul Farmers Market
"We are excited to say that fresh vegetables have arrived at the market. We now have asparagus, rhubarb, green onions, radishes, turnips, lettuce and tomatoes. Pick up some bacon too and you are ready for the first BLT of the summer. This weekend we will also have take and bake pepperoni and sausage pizzas. Check out Bob Otis and his new venture into the pizza world. The market is also filled with a huge selection of beautiful flowers. Our selection is one of the best in the area. We also have a load and go pick up lane for your convenience. No more lugging those heavy loads to your vehicles. Just leave your purchase with our market staff who will watch it while you get your vehicle. Drive up, they'll load it in and you're on your way. Service with a smile just like in the olden days!"
Black Dog Cafe
"The Black Dog Coffee and Wine Bar in Saint Paul's Lowertown features interesting and affordable wines from around the world, regional and craft beers, the finest locally roasted coffee and espresso, homemade soups, salsa and baked items, and delicious salads and sandwiches using organic and/or locally grown produce whenever possible. The Black Dog is pleased to offer a regular schedule of live music and a Daily Happy Hour from 4pm to 7pm, 7 days a week! Beer specials include draft pints for $3 and Grain Belt Premium bottles for $2.50. Wine specials include $4.75 glasses from our house selection of New and Old World wines."
The Minnesota Science Museum - Big Back Yard Mini Golf
"The Big Back Yard includes a nine-hole EarthScapes miniature golf course that provides a fun—and challenging—way to learn how water moves from mountains to oceans and shapes the landscape along the way. With water hazards like you've never seen before, this 30,000 square-foot course demonstrates that rivers and streams are alive and ever-changing."
